Kristin Pickett Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Higher Education

    FOREST CITY, IA, October 15, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kristin Pickett has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in higher education.

Passionate for education in the areas of criminology, juvenile justice, child advocacy and mental health in the criminal justice system, Ms. Pickett has been a professor at Waldorf University since August 2014. In just one year, she has achieved the title of department chair for the criminal justice department and online program coordinator for criminal justice. "In my career I have been exposed to children in juvenile psychological correctional units and adults in community mental health care facilities and it is so important that we realize and understand these realities," Ms. Pickett says of her motivation to teach the next generation of criminal justice professionals. For her excellence over her decade long career, she was named Woman of the Year by the National Association of Distinguished Professionals and she was chosen as the higher education delegate for the International Women's Leadership Association.

Ms. Pickett's own education is the core of her teachings. She holds a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice and criminology and a Master of Public Administration with a criminal justice and criminology concentration, both from Ball State University. To stay at the top of her career, she is an active member in her professional community. She is affiliated with the National Court Appointed Special Advocate Association, the Midwestern Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, the International Women's Leadership Association, the American Criminal Justice Association and the American Criminology Association. In the years ahead, Ms. Pickett plans to continue teaching at Waldorf University.
