Mr. Hubbard has 44 years of experience in the legal field, including 30 years as a founding member and partner with Hubbard & Smith. Some of Mr. Hubbard's clients have included health care providers and trade organizations, nonprofit organizations and charities, as well as the State of Tennessee. On a day-to-day basis, he also drafts legislation and represents clients in rulemaking proceedings. Prior to founding the law firm, Mr. Hubbard served as chief deputy attorney general for the state Attorney General's office. In addition to his rating from Martindale-Hubbell, he has been named as one of the 100 best lawyers in Tennessee by Business Tennessee magazine.
In looking back, Mr. Hubbard decided to go to law school because he thought that having a law degree would be useful. His interest in the field started when he was in high school. Currently, he is admitted to practice law in Tennessee, for the U.S. District Court Western District of Tennessee, for the U.S. District Court Middle District of Tennessee, the U.S. Court of Appeals Sixth Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
Mr. Hubbard received a JD degree from Vanderbilt Law School. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliations with the Tennessee Bar Foundation, the Nashville Bar Foundation, the Ross Alderman Indigent Defense Fund and the Nolensville Academy for Math and Science. In the coming years, Mr. Hubbard plans to continue practicing law.
