SANTA MONICA, CA, October 26, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Delphi Santa Monica took their children to the Discovery Cube Los Angeles. Discovery Cube LA is a nonprofit museum dedicated to teaching STEM proficiency, Environmental Stewardship, Healthy Living and Early Learning. Their mission to inspire, educate, and impact is brought to life through the cornerstones of core initiatives.
The children of Delphi Santa Monica had a blast touring the Cube. They looked at different bugs in the Spookology section of the center, decorated pumpkins, drove the Zamboni, tested pulleys and faced Santa Ana winds in the simulator (and so much more!).
Of note is the helicopter simulator. It takes children to the skies above Los Angeles. They soar over California and follow a 300-mile journey of the L.A. aqueduct before diving beneath the City to view the vast water system below.
"This field trip is just one of the many ways we incorporate STEAM learning (science, technology, engineering, arts and math) into our program," says Head of School, Ellen Garrison.
Delphi Academy of Santa Monica invites the public to view their Facebook album for more pictures of this fun and stimulating field trip that dovetails perfectly with their proficiency-based learning program.
