Lucy Nichols Recognized as Professional of the Year by Capital Who's Who

In her current position, in the Cardiac Rhythm Management Division, Ms. Nichols is responsible for the engineering of research systems for first-in-man use. Her extensive background as Project Manager has afforded her the experience and knowledge to lead other project managers and work with technology and research directors in the transfer of design concepts into the production of prototypes. Lucy Nichols is also responsible for the program that fosters and secures grants in order to fund the production of prototypes for new conceptual ideas.

Ms. Nichols is a member of the National Association of Professional Women, Trust Women in Healthcare, Life Science Alley, and the Institute of Electronics and Electronics Engineers (I.E.E.E). Devoted to keeping current and on the cutting edge of science and technology as related to her position, Lucy Nichols attends conferences and seminars as well as all internal Medtronic science and technology conferences. Ms. Nichols' advice to those starting out in the healthcare field is to "Deliver results, love what you do and never stop learning."

When not working at Medtronic or with Zetwal, Ms. Lucy Nichols enjoys spending time with her three children, friends and family, as well as walking, gardening and Zumba. She holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Also through the global charity World Vision, she sponsors three children; Bendy and Saveline, who both live in Haiti, and Shaka in Zambia.
