Last year's drive raised over 10,000 pounds of food, and our firm looks forward to being a big part of breaking last year's amount.
GREENVILLE, NC, November 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Ricci Law Firm announced Monday that attorneys and staff members at the firm are currently accepting donations for this year's North Carolina Advocates for Justice (NCAJ) food bank drive. Hosted each November by the New Lawyers Division of the NCAJ, law firms throughout the state are encouraged to bring in as many non-perishable food items as possible to feed those in need, with the goal of raising 15,000 pounds of food this year.
"The Ricci Law Firm is proud to participate in the food drive and partner with NCAJ for such a good cause," said founding attorney Brian Ricci. "The holidays are one of the most important times to support the North Carolina community, which is why we are so pleased to transform our Greenville office into a drop-off location for donations."
According to The Ricci Law Firm Facebook page, donations for the food drive will be accepted until Friday, Nov. 20. The only location to drop off donations in Greenville is The Ricci Law Firm office.
The firm has partnered with food banks in the following North Carolina cities:
- Greenville: Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina
- Fayetteville: Fayetteville Urban Ministries, Operation Blessing
- Raleigh: Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina
- Charlotte: Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
- Wilmington: Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina
- Greensboro: Greensboro Urban Ministries
- Sanford: Christians United Outreach Center of Lee County
- Durham: Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina
- Wilson: Hope Station
- New Bern: Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina
- Asheville: Manna Food Bank
- Winston-Salem: Second Harvest Food Bank of Northwest North Carolina
- Southern Pines: Food Bank of Eastern & Central North Carolina
- Boone: Hunger and Health Coalition
- Morehead City: Hope Mission
- Concord: Second Harvest Food Bank of Metrolina
According to the NCAJ, over 1 million North Carolina residents live in poverty, and one out of every four children does not have sustainable access to food. With the shelves of state food banks nearly empty, Ricci said now is the best time to make a donation.
"When you stop by our office, you're giving canned goods for a good cause," he said. "Last year's drive raised over 10,000 pounds of food, and our firm looks forward to being a big part of breaking last year's amount."
