CHESTERFIELD, MO, November 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- TITLE Boxing Club of Chesterfield and Rock Hill, Mo. are hosting a food drive for the month of November for local organization Operation Food Search.
In the St. Louis bi-state area alone, one in six individuals suffers from hunger. When individuals from the community suffer, the entire area begins to feel the after-effects. TITLE Boxing members, owners, and trainers are bringing in much-needed donations throughout the month of November in hopes of beating their goal of 5,000 items.
When a family is faced with a financial challenge, members are often forced to make difficult decisions about which bills to pay. A vast majority of the time, buying food is often one of the last priorities for a family. By donating much-needed canned food items and more, Operation Food Search is helping local community members become whole again.
Canned meats are on the high-priority list for Operation Food Search. These items provide a healthier alternative to food choices that may lack in adequate nutrients. When individuals make poor food choices, poor health, chronic diseases, and reduced productivity can often occur. Maintaining a healthy body as well as a healthy diet is something that members and trainers at TITLE Boxing Club know all too well.
"We are so excited to be a part of a movement that helps make our community stronger," said Heath Norton, owner and operator of TITLE Boxing Club. "We all have a can or two laying around the house. Knowing that you can change someone's life just by donating that one item is a powerful thing!"
