Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Sandy Noel as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    BRONX, NY, November 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Sandy Noel, Family Advocate, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Sandy Noel will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.

Working as a Family Advocate providing support to families who need to obtain childcare through the Human Resources Administration and Administration of Children Services by day, Sandy Noel also supports her parents through her poetry and volunteer work. As a member of the Citywide Council on Special Education, she provides support in many fields and sub-committees to help support the special education children in District 75.

"My charity work brings awareness to those who may need mental help and/or special education services and don't know how to apply and/or have already tried to no avail. With my experience and the encouragement of my fellow peers and council members, I hope to share resources among all of my families, not just those who may feel labeled," Ms. Noel stated.

Ms. Noel's career in family advocacy began in 2013 after being promoted from assistant teacher. Some of her responsibilities include academy support, management of family events, outreach, and enrollment.

A published writer since the age of nine, Ms. Noel has continued to write poetry, a hobby that she says has kept her grounded. Currently working on a memoir that she hopes to self-publish soon, she also hopes to begin working toward her Master's Degree in Emergency and Disaster Management so that she can someday better support those in need in her home country of Haiti. Currently serving her first year as a Panel Member for CCSE, Ms. Noel previously worked with Bloomberg for PlaNYC 2030 in 2009.
