HKA, Inc. Marketing Communications Wins Silver at Stevie Awards for Women in Business

Marketing Communications, one of Southern California's most acclaimed and longstanding communications agencies, was named a silver winner in the Community Involvement Program of the Year category at the 12th annual Stevie Awards for Women in Business on Nov. 13.

The Stevie Awards for Women in Business are the world's top honors for female entrepreneurs, executives, employees and the organizations they run. All individuals and organizations worldwide are eligible to submit nominations. The 2015 awards received nearly 1,500 entries in more than 90 categories, representing 31 nations and territories.

Last month, HKA was announced as a finalist in the Community Involvement Program of the Year category before being awarded the silver award at New York's famed Marriott Marquis Hotel in Times Square. Stevie Award winners were selected by more than 160 executives worldwide who participated in the judging process this year.

HKA was recognized for its 30th anniversary celebration initiative, Locally PRoud. The integrated campaign saw dozens of area nonprofits compete to win a year of no-cost marketing communications services provided by HKA. While Locally PRoud created tremendous buzz for eventual winner Build Futures, the competition also proved to be a valuable platform for participants to spread awareness of their missions to new audiences.
