COLLINSVILLE, IL, November 22, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Fornero Orthodontics is lending a helping hand to those that need it the most this time of year.
The orthodontic office is accepting donations of canned goods and non-perishable items until Fri., January 15, 2016 and is ready to beat their personal record they set in April. This will mark the second partnership and donation drive that the local office has hosted this year alone.
In April, the office donated more than 500 items to help the food pantry, which services the surrounding area and is currently operated by the Collinsville Area Ministerial Association.
"We had a very successful food drive in April," said Dr. Fornero, owner of Fornero Orthodontics. "Our patients really stepped up with donations, so when the local food pantry asked if we could do another one, we were happy to say yes!"
Patients who donate throughout the upcoming holiday season will receive extra perks including an extra token for the good deed. Patients of Dr. Fornero's have a unique reward system that is established at the Collinsville office. Tokens, referred to as "Ortho Bucks," can be earned for a variety of reasons. Being on time for an appointment, having nothing broken, or maintaining good brushing habits will earn a patient a coveted token. Behaviors and habits that elicit a token are always available; however, this food drive offers a unique opportunity.
The Collinsville Area Ministerial Association helps the surrounding area by providing services to those in need. The program is hosted by the organization and is operated at the First United Presbyterian Church in Collinsville. Individuals of this organization work alongside one another to improve the overall spiritual, moral, and physical well being of the Collinsville and Metro East St. Louis region.
