"San Juan Capistrano is a place filled with art, as well as small businesses. Integrating the two in a celebration to give back is one way to support this vibrant community fabric" - Emma Silvera
SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, CA, November 24, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Star Motors invites the community to come to an artful celebration of the holiday season. On Friday, Dec. 4, the Orange County auto repair experts will host a free Holiday Celebration and Art Reception onsite at their Star Gallery in San Juan Capistrano. The event will be the closing reception for the gallery's show of works by California artist Juan Pena, who will be in attendance.
The Star Gallery allows Star Motors to honor the vital role of the arts in the San Juan Capistrano community. Regularly featuring works by acclaimed artists, the gallery has been host to Juan Pena's representational watercolors since June. His plein air ("open air") landscapes depict the natural beauty and diverse scenery of the Golden State.
A portion of the proceeds from artwork sold during the December event will be donated to the J.F. Shea Therapeutic Riding Center. This local non-profit organization is dedicated to improving the lives of people with disabilities through therapeutic equestrian programs.
"San Juan Capistrano is a place filled with art, as well as small businesses. Integrating the two in a celebration to give back is one way to support this vibrant community fabric," explains Star Motors co-owner Emma Silvera, whose passion for ensuring customer satisfaction reaches far beyond the bounds of the auto shop. "We strongly believe in giving back to the community and doing what we can to make it a better place."
Co-owner Chris Knuth explains that the event is part of the team's long-term vision for Star Motors as more than just a well-run business. "We want to be a partner in the community," Knuth says. "We do a lot more than just fix cars. We're creating jobs and opportunities."
The reception will also feature wine tasting, hors d'oeuvres, and giveaways. Attendees who bring an unwrapped toy to donate to the Marine Corps Toys for Tots program will be entered into a special raffle to win a gift basket worth more than $300.
The free Holiday Celebration and Art Reception takes place from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 4, 2015 at Star Motors, which is located at 32955 Calle Perfecto, San Juan Capistrano, CA, 92675.
