NANAIMO, BC, November 30, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Twenty years in the making! The Business Home Page is now a functional web site, dedicated to bring ease of use to busy managers and buyers. Listing, all on one site, suppliers of items, from paper and paper clips, to office furniture, from website building and hosting to web security, from marketing help, to business travel... If you can't find it on the site and it should be there, they plan to add it.
The Business Home Page is an idea that its creator has been mulling over for over twenty years. While he was Publisher of a business-to-business newspaper and the web was in its infancy, Ray Matthews was trying to devise a way to simplify the buying process for management and save them valuable time. The business community were constantly reminding him that they were busy and that they didn't have time to read lengthy articles. Matthews addressed this problem by hiring an editor who previously worked for a radio news media and was expert at shaving the fluff for news items. Business articles were kept to 700 - 800 words. The business community loved it. Now he addresses the streamlining of the buying process on the web for busy managers and buyers. Business managers are well past the novelty of surfing the web - it's about saving time.
Matthews decided the time was overdue for his idea. The problem had always been the high cost of having someone else build the site. And, even though the published site is, by law, the property of the person or organization who paid to have it built, many developers think they own all sites they build and hold the site 'hostage' from the true owners. (They need to read copyright law.) It was time to get some training and find out what was available online to assist in building the site. The site is now a reality.
The National Suppliers page is fairly well populated already with merchants who do business nation wide, however the regional pages are now accepting listings.
There are two versions of the site: www.thebusinesshomepage.com, for USA businesses, and www.thebusinesshomepage.ca, for Canadian business.
