In her role as District Business Partnership Coordinator, Mrs. Mitchell-Davis manages and coordinates the work of designing and implementing a district wide internship program that supports all areas of work-based learning. As Coordinator, she assists schools with recruiting, evaluating, preparing, and enrolling students for internship opportunities within the community. In addition, she facilitates collaboration between businesses, community organizations, and Hartford Public Schools internship partners to ensure that students are appropriately assigned to internship sites, works as an integral part of the Hartford Student Internship Program team, among a host of other responsibilities.

"I am a product of the environment in which I was born, raised, and currently reside," Mrs. Mitchell-Davis replied regarding how she ended up working in the school system. "I want young adults to understand that their environment does not determine their destiny. Somehow, some way, they must draw strength and motivation from wanting to do better and being the change the world needs to see. It can be hard striving to attain something you have no clue about but anything worth having is worth fighting for. It is imperative that when you lack support you must learn to encourage yourself. If I can help someone along the way, than my purpose is being fulfilled. My daughters are my inspiration and I wholeheartedly believe that knowledge is power. Therefore, I try my best to encourage others who cross my path to maximize their potential."
Mrs. Mitchell-Davis is a Connecticut Community College System Minority Fellow graduate, an MBA graduate, holds a Project Management Certification and an 085 Business Administrator certificate from the State of Connecticut, is a member of Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, a member of a local Advisory Board, a volunteer for Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and a mentor. She enjoys doing volunteer work with a number of local agencies, traveling and spending time with her close friends and family, and resides in Hartford with her husband Joseph and two children, Tameria and MiKayla.
