FORT WORTH, TX, December 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Linda Glover, Co-Director and Consultant of Linda Glover Christian Foundation Home and School, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Linda Glover will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.
Founded by John and Linda Glover, the Linda Glover Christian Foundation (LGCF) Home and School's primary ministry is as a home and school for children that were living in post-war conditions in Liberia. Opening its doors and its program in 2007, there are two locations, the Tower Hill Campus Children's Home and Community School in Margibi County and the West Point Day School and Feeding Program in Montserrado County in Liberia, West Africa.
LGCF Home and School recently completed a two level school and multi-purpose building on the Tower Hill Campus in Margibi County. It is the only Pre-K-7th grade school in the area. The September 2016 enrollment is expected to be at full capacity with 200 students. Currently, there are 136 students from the community enrolled. Tower Hill Campus is home to 20 children. The LGCF West Point Campus Day School and Feeding Program in Montserrado County currently has 150 students enrolled. The Feeding Program reaches some 250 children daily.
"In the majority world, there is a pressing urgent need for schools to be built," Ms. Glover said, who has worked in many African countries and other international locations in relief and development. "The LGCF Program/Project is primarily development. The children in the majority world need healthcare and education. LGCF is working to create awareness and promote the call for help."
In Ms. Glover's role, she provides information and education programs and events in both the US and Liberia. She plans and coordinates with the Liberia Leadership Team and Liberia government officials, does teambuilding, conducts Teacher Education Days for the Tower Hill and West Point campuses, teaches promotive and preventive healthcare classes, does healthcare screenings for the LGCF Tower Hill Campus children, and is a keynote speaker at special events.
Allowing her Christian, faith-based belief system to lead the way, Ms. Glover has been a Registered Nurse since 1974. She's worked in Africa, beginning in 1986, and lived in Monrovia, Liberia in 1989, just before their long civil war began in December 1989. She currently resides in Texas.
