Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Jo Ann Kuharske as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    MILWAUKEE, WI, December 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jo Ann Kuharske, Personalized Blended Learning Lab Coordinator at Morse Marshall High School for the Gifted and Talented, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Jo Ann Kuharske will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.

Beginning her career in education in 1992 as a teacher at Christopher Latham Sholes Middle School, Jo Ann Kuharske is now working as a Personalized Blended Learning Lab Coordinator at Morse Marshall High School for the Gifted and Talented. The program that she oversees is one that helps students gain the credits they need in order to graduate.

"I really want to see my young people succeed," Ms. Kuharske said about her long, successful career in education. "There are students that don't thrive in a traditional classroom setting that thrive with a blended learning approach."

Also a published author of 'Character Building Writing Prompts; Focus: Positive Behavior Skills for the Middle and High School', Ms. Kuharske's book can be found on Amazon.com. The 51-page paperback book contains positive character building writing prompts for the entire school year. It serves as a great resource to enhance any school who is using Positive Behavioral Intervention and Supports, or PBIS. These writing prompts can be used to facilitate daily announcements.

Ms. Kuharske holds a BA in Elementary Education from Mount Mary College and an MS in Administrative Leadership from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, has a 952 license in Alternative Education, and was trained extensively by Milwaukee Public Schools. Ms. Kuharske is involved with Boy Scouts, Cub Scouts, and Little League with her sons.
