A strong leader with outstanding technical knowledge, Dr. Angolano always strives for excellence and greater achievement.
CUMBERLAND, RI, December 03, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Carole Angolano, Retired Chief Warrant Officer 5 for the Rhode Island Army National Guard and Adjunct Professor at Salve Regina University and Trident University, has been recognized by Worldwide Branding for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in military defense and education.
Retiring from the Army National Guard in 2013, Dr. Angolano has given her country more than 38 years of service. She has begun her second career teaching information technology security on the university level.
Following in the footsteps of her dad and uncles, Dr. Angolano decided to join the military in 1974. Constantly having to prove herself to the male leadership, she was able to rise through the ranks and attain the position of Chief Warrant Officer 5, the highest rank for a warrant officer.
During the last few years of her military service, Dr. Angolano began looking toward her second career. She became involved with information assurance management and cyber security while still in service. Realizing that the field is constantly changing and requires information technology professionals to stay up-to-date on the latest technologies and threats, she finds it to be a challenging and rewarding area. In 2011, she began teaching the subject part time at Salve Regina University and as a part time adjunct at Trident University. She feels that sharing this knowledge with students will be an excellent way to develop future cyber security professionals and keep the U.S. safe.
A strong leader with outstanding technical knowledge, Dr. Angolano always strives for excellence and greater achievement. Believing that knowledge is power in whatever we do, she earned a Ph.D. in Information Technology Security from Trident University International in 2011. Her goal is to continue her second career in the higher education field.
Dr. Angolano is a member of the U.S. Warrant Officers Association, the National Guard Association and the Military Officers Association, American Association of University Women, National Association of Professional Women, International Women's Leadership Association, Association for Computing Machinery, and the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.
She has received numerous honors, including medals for Meritorious Service, Army Achievement, Legion of Merit, Rhode Island Star, and Reserve Component Achievement, to name a few.
