Vickie Vila Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Accounting

Mrs. Vila has enjoyed a diverse and successful career doing what she loves. She is a former jazz singer and flutist who has worked with such greats as Cleveland Eaton, former bassist with Count Basie as well as the Ramsey Lewis Trio. Mrs. Vila has recorded with Cleveland Eaton and the Garden of Eden and the group appeared as the opening act for Natalie Cole, The Spinners and Brook Benton. She is a self-proclaimed overachiever whose work history is as varied as it is interesting. After traveling and touring as a performer for several years, Mrs. Vila joined the corporate world to provide a better life for her daughter. Despite not having a formal degree at the time, she succeeded in that profession before taking her current career path.

Now running her own accounting business, Mrs. Vila specializes in small business by providing bookkeeping, tax preparation, payroll and notary services. She also prepares resumes and handles immigration paperwork for a certain sect of clients, making use of her organizational skills and detail-oriented nature. Having already retired three times, she hopes to transition into academia from accounting and someday write a book recounting her fascinating life story.

Despite experiencing several hardships, Mrs. Vila has always maintained an unshakeable faith that has carried her through some of her toughest times. Today she strengthens that faith as the "First Lady" at Restoration of Hope Ministry in Cookesville, TN, with her husband, Pastor Eddie.

Mrs. Vila received a bachelor's degree and a master's degree in business and accounting. She hopes to continue inspiring others to reach their maximum potential for as long as she lives.
