HAYS, KS, December 12, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The National Rural Economic Developers Association (NREDA) has unanimously elected Nicole M. Pfannenstiel to the Board of Directors during the organization's annual membership meeting held during the 2015 NREDA Annual Conference in Denver, CO for a three year term. She will assume the role on January 1st.
Nikki Pfannenstiel joined Sunflower Electric Power Corporation in 1997 and has served as the manager of member services since 2012. She has approximately 20 years of rural development experience, 10 years of leadership development and facilitation experience, and is currently working on her Certified Key Account Executive certification. Nikki has been successful in securing funds from the Rural Economic Development Loan and Grant program to support projects for Sunflower's member distribution cooperatives. She most recently served on the Touchstone Energy Business Development Advisory Committee and is a past recipient of the Touchstone Energy Brand Champion award. Nikki currently serves on the executive committees for the western Kansas Rural Economic Development Alliance and the Heartland Community Foundation. Nikki serves on the NREDA Grassroots Advocacy Committee and conducted strategic planning for NREDA in 2014.
