Kokilico has launched the app "Momvoicebook", a picture book e-content library for children, a first for the country.
ANYANG, KOREA, December 13, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kokilico (www.momvoicebook.com) has launched the app "Momvoicebook", a picture book e-content library for children, a first for the country.
Parents can record their voices while reading picture books, turning pages as if they are real books on the "Momvoicebook" app. With the app, children can listen to their parents' voices while reading the picture books, even if the parents are not home.
Currently, about 200 picture books are uploaded on the "Momvoicebook" app. There are various types of children's picture books, including creative fairytale stories, classic stories, math and science stories, and Korean creative stories, whose author has garnered an award. Many other books from famous publishing companies are being uploaded, and 1,000 books will be registered within this year.
The app's distinguishing feature is that there is a certain book that users can read for free every day. This enables one to use the app and enjoy free content every day.
Furthermore, users can purchase picture books and record their voices. They can also keep them forever on their App Store account.
Another advantage of "Momvoicebook" is that it can change certain texts. The main character's name can be changed to a child's name, or a parent can create many different stories with their children from the books' pictures.
Kokilico is a digital content developer for children. The company's name also shows the characteristics of its contents. It consists of the first two letters of each word in Korea Kids Library Contents. Furthermore, the name also means that Kokilico would like to become the first company people think of in the sector, much like an elephant's trunk comes to mind when they think about an elephant.
Kokilico also launched the video picture book app "Haneulbit Bible Story", which contains 30 books with Bible stories, all recreated to suit children's levels. The company has also been publishing outstanding books from domestic publishing companies. Kokilico CEO Kim Yong-hwan emphasized: "'Momvoicebook' is not just a simple e-book platform, but it is 'a communication platform between a mother and a child'".
"Momvoicebook" will be available on Apple's App Store from December 15. In the future, the app will be launched on the Google Play Store as well.
