ANYANG, KOREA, December 14, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- iCubis Inc. (CEO Jang Uk-gi, www.icubis.com), a company that develops edutainment contents for infants and children, reported that it has launched "Muddly Monsters", an app that teaches children English and life's habits together on Google Play Store and Apple's App Store.
With six cute monsters that can stimulate children's curiosity and the human character Arron, "Muddly Monsters" is an interactive app for convergence education that simultaneously teaches children life's habits, object recognition, and English. Children can select a time on the main screen and listen to the things they have to do on the selected time.
Unlike most English education apps that focus only on studying through videos in a one-way relationship, iCubis' "Muddly Monsters" enables children to experience daily tasks with monsters, so they can naturally learn not only English language but also daily life's habits and object recognition.
For example, if children have to change clothes before going out, they can play the "Wear" stage at 8 a.m., where children can dress the monsters by dragging clothes onto them. Then, the children can learn a sentence that starts with "I wear ~". When playing the game, children learn that they have to wear underwear first, since when the monsters do not put on their underwear, they cannot wear other clothes.
Aside from wearing clothes, children can learn English expressions and life's habits on various subjects, such as getting up, brushing their teeth, washing their feet, organizing their things, and recycling.
Hwang Geun-ha, head of "Muddly Monsters" development at iCubis, said: "The story of 'Muddly Monsters' is that the main character, Arron, who is lonely and gloomy, becomes happy one day when loud and mischievous monsters visit him. This was created to vitalize not only children but also adults who are tired of the redundancy in their daily lives."
"We created this app so that children who frequently use a smartphone can study and have fun simultaneously via this app," he added.
Currently, the "Muddly Monsters" regular version for smartphones and the HD version for tablets are available on Google Play (play.google.com). The regular version and HD version for iPad will be available on Apple's App Store (itunes.apple.com) in December.
iCubis said it is preparing for various launch events, and daily webtoons, emoticons, and diverse character MD products will be released.
