Boughman and Teresa Phillips, attorneys at the Orlando-based law firm of Forster Boughman & Lefkowitz (www.fbl-law.com), presented at a National Business Institute (NBI) seminar on December 11, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. at the Crowne Plaza Orlando Downtown (304 W Colonial Drive, Orlando, FL 32801).
"This seminar offers attorneys the fundamental knowledge and practical skills to make the best use of evidence and testimony," said Mr. Boughman. "We will be covering ethical considerations in evidence- from handling highly prejudicial evidence to issues related to legal malpractice and facilitating efficiency, reliability and overall fairness of the adversary process."
As a result of the technological advances in discovery, court decisions and changes to various state laws, the rules of evidence are constantly evolving. The experienced faculty on this panel deciphered the rules and procedures, explored key court decisions involving admissibility, and practically applied the rules of evidence to common evidentiary challenges attorneys face during litigation.
