Dr. Kai-Uwe Schlaudraff Named to Board of International Stem Cell Society

    GENEVA, SWITZERLAND, December 20, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Aesthetic Stem Cell Society has announced that the founder of the Concept Clinic (http://www.concept-clinic.ch/en/) plastic surgeon Dr. Kai-Uwe Schlaudraff of Geneva, Switzerland, has been named to its board of governors. The Aesthetic Stem Cell Society is an international organization based in the United States and is comprised of world leaders in the field of stem cell therapy and research.

Dr. William Beeson, society president, lauded Dr. Schlaudraff's appointment: "The Aesthetic Stem Cell Society is dedicated to fostering advances in stem cell related research, education, and clinical therapies in a responsible, professional, and ethical manner as supported by evidence-based medicine. Dr. Schlaudraff practices plastic surgery in Geneva, and is highly regarded in Switzerland and internationally for his research and experience with stem-cell enriched fat grafting for facial procedures and body sculpting.

Dr. Schlaudraff also serves as section editor of the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery journal for fat grafting and stem cell research and as a scientific board member of the Swiss Stem Cell Foundation (SSCF).

Dr. Beeson noted that Dr. Schlaudraff will be a featured speaker at the Society's Annual Scientific meeting to be held in June in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA.

Dr. Kai-Uwe Schlaudraff (http://www.concept-clinic.ch/en/) is a board-certified plastic surgeon in Geneva, Switzerland, who specializes in many advanced techniques, including stem cell-enriched fat grafting and ultrasound-assisted liposuction. After receiving his medical degree from the University of Freiburg in Germany, he trained in Paris and London. He completed a general surgery residency in Basel, Switzerland, and received training in plastic surgery as a resident and registrar at University Hospital of Geneva. In 2008, he opened his plastic surgery practice in Geneva: Concept Clinic. Dr. Schlaudraff is on the board of directors of the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, is part of the Scientific Advisory Board of the Swiss Stem Cell Bank (SSCB), and is a member of the board of governors of the international Aesthetic Stem Cell Society.
