SEATTLE, WA, December 17, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jeffrey Herman, Attorney for Herman Law Firm, PLLC, has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in law.

With 20 years of invaluable contributions to the field of law, Jeffrey Herman has achieved professional success as an attorney for Herman Law Firm, PLLC. A renowned law practice, the firm provides the highest quality of legal services pertaining to wrongful death claims, child and elder abuse, and premises liability, as well as claims against schools, group homes, foster homes and adult family homes for injuries to children and the elderly. Mr. Herman utilizes his knowledge in the areas of child and elder abuse law, as well as motor vehicle, bicycle, motorcycle and trucking accidents to provide top-notch legal services and consultations in his areas of focus.

Mr. Herman was involved in the Moratti Tarutis v. Farmers Insurance case; a child was severely burned and he was representing her until he found that the insurance company was acting in bad faith. At that point, in order to help the child and her family with the mounting medical bills, and in order to prove that it was bad faith, he had to stop representing her in order to testify on her behalf and waive all of his financial interests. The girl won $17 million, and Mr. Herman received nothing for his services. Mr. Herman is noted for helping his clients in any way that he can; he likes to feel good about what he does. His focus and ability to do one thing thoroughly by devoting all his attention to the issue at hand have afforded him an excellent reputation within his community.

In another case, Mr. Herman represented the estate of a minor who tragically committed suicide while involuntarily committed to Seattle Children's Home as a psychiatric patient. The staff were required to keep her on suicide watch, but they ignored her overnight and falsified logs to state they had checked in on her. With his friend and co-counsel Elena Garella, they successfully changed the law. The Washington Supreme Court held that parents who do not have primary custody of their children still have the right to sue for wrongful death of a child. The case is The Estate of Ashlie Bunch v. Seattle Children's Home.

Before attending law school, Jeffrey Herman helped his community as a suicide hotline volunteer and mental health social worker. After passing the Bar in 1994, he served as a prosecutor in King County before entering private practice. He has been an Eagle member of the Washington State Association for Justice since 2005, and has served as an Arbitrator for King County Superior Court and as a Guardian Ad Litem investigating settlements for minors.

A shining example of success within the industry, Mr. Herman continues to surpass others within the profession due to his extensive experience and education, which includes a JD, a Master of Social Work and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Washington. An active member within the field, Mr. Herman stays current with the industry's many changes as an arbitrator for the King County Superior Court. Additionally, he serves as a court-appointed settlement guardian. In recognition of his many significant accomplishments, Mr. Herman has recently been inducted into Worldwide Registry. Notably, Mr. Herman was also the recipient of the Client Distinction Award and holds a perfect 5.0 AV Preeminent Peer Review Rating through Martindale-Hubbell.
