Eugenia Vecchio worked in the Personal Financial Planning Division of KPMG Peat Marwick Main from 1985 to 1990. Here, she handled sophisticated client profiles with complex legal and tax problems. She was also the tax editor for a chapter in Matthew Bender's Federal Tax Service on "Community Property."
She is a public speaker on the topic of estate planning and has lectured before such organizations as HSBC Bank, Citibank Investment Services Corporation, Merrill Lynch, Salomon Smith Barney Each year, Ms. Vecchio attends the prestigious national tax conference in Orlando, Fl., sponsored by the University of Miami School of Law and the Heckerling Institute on Estate, Trust and Gift Tax Planning, as well as the Wachovia Bank National IRC Section 1031 Exchange Tax Conference, and the UJA Federation Estate Planning Conferences.
Eugenia M. Vecchio earned her JD from the New England School of Law in Boston in 1985, graduating within the top 27 percent of the graduating class. At the New England School of Law, she completed her graduate written tax thesis under research privileges granted to her by Harvard University School of Law. This joint program allowed Ms. Vecchio to complete a tax analysis of the foreign tax credit mechanism as a means to attract foreign investors in developing countries. While attending the New England School of Law, Ms. Vecchio received the American Jurisprudence Book Award for Property, and she was an alternate recipient of the American Jurisprudence Book Award for Advanced Criminal Procedure. She also completed her course of study for the Certified Financial Planner graduate program at Pace University Lubin Graduate Center.
She was listed in the 1983 and 1985 editions of Who's Who Among American Law Students and she held Dean's List distinction in 1984 and 1985. In 2012, she was nominated as a Woman Entrepreneur of Westchester County by the Westchester Business Journal and as a Top Trusts and Estate Attorney in Westchester ("Above the Bar"). Eugenia M. Vecchio was once named a top 100 lawyer in Worth Magazine.
