Eclipse Shutters is a 2015 WCMA Product Awards Winner

    ATLANTA, GA, December 29, 2015 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Window Covering Manufacturers Association (WCMA) has named Eclipse Shutters a 2015 Product Awards Winner! The title of Product Awards Winner is highly-esteemed and given each year in recognition of the best product manufacturers in the window covering industry. A panel of industry judges -- who are proven experts in interior design and decor -- met in New York City to review all new product entries on November 5, 2015, and announced the winners later in the month.

Eclipse Shutters won "Best New Style Concept Honorable Mention" in the Shutter Category for the new UltraSatin finish. The UltraSatin finish uses revolutionary technology to achieve the look of a premium painted shutter, which adds beauty and elegance to any room.

Eclipse Shutters was among 15 other winning entries from organizations across the United States, and was one of the winners from almost 100 participants. Eclipse Shutters was given an engraved awards plaque for the winning submission, and is currently being featured on the WCMA website. The winners were chosen on the grounds of top-quality design and engineering innovation, and were chosen based on several pre-selected categories. According to representatives of WCMA, the entries had increased innovation from last year and featured fresher designs across all categories.

The window covering categories that are judged every year are numerous. Some of the categories include drapery hardware, environmentally-friendly product categories, vertical and horizontal blinds, motorization, roller and pleated shades, cellular shades and real and faux wood blinds.

According to a press release by the WCMA, the Product Awards judging panel makes their considerations very carefully and reviews a wide variety of new and enhanced window covering products every year. Ralph Vasami, the executive director of WCMA, said that this time around there was a large number of very technical innovations and new designs, and that it made for some intense competition among the designers and manufacturers. He also said the level of quality shown before the judges speaks volumes for the "hard work and ingenuity of our industry's engineering and design teams."

International Window Coverings Expo

All of the award winners will be recognized and toasted at an International Window Coverings Expo (IWCE). The expo is a 3-day reception, taking place from January 19th through the 21st, 2016. The reception will be held at the Las Vegas Convention Center.
