Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Deanna Cooper Buechel as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    COLLEGE POINT, NY, January 06, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Deanna Cooper Buechel, Retired Excess Assistant Examiner for Medical Malpractice Insurance Pool of New York State/Medical Liability Mutual Insurance Company, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Deanna Cooper Buechel will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.

Immediately following high school, Deanna Cooper Buechel went right to work in 1976. Getting into health insurance early on, it was an exciting, never ending learning process, and gave her enormous amounts of energy. It was a field that was wide open for suggestions and never stifling, and for that reason, Ms. Cooper Buechel remained in the field her entire career.

Getting on board with Medical Malpractice Insurance Pool of New York State in, Ms. Cooper Buechel had to maintain excellent organizational, written, and verbal skills. She also had to be proficient in being able to verify insurer's, maintain departmental logs, processor vendor bills, be able to determine malpractice coverage of insures, determine whether or not cases had significant value, keep diary excess files for monitoring the progression of cases, be able to complete settlement authorizations, and complete the authorizations of checks for settlement.

"I received wonderful mentoring, guidance, and strength to move forward in my career, thanks to real friendships that stood by me," Ms. Cooper Buechel said thankfully. "My mother, a widower at the age of 45, in particular, taught me that making money was of essence. "But it's also important to be your own individual self, be a leader, and to learn from the best."

Making the decision to go back to school to earn her Master's Degree in her 50's, Ms. Cooper Buechel studied organizational management and human resources. She is also currently with Avon, selling their name brand beauty, make-up and other products, along with Mary Kay as an Independent Beauty Consultant.
