William Larry Latham Honored for Excellence in Alternative Dispute Resolution

    RIDGELAND, MS, January 07, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Attorney William Larry Latham has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in alternative dispute resolution.

Mr. Latham is a respected lawyer and mediator with more than 45 years of professional experience. He has spent the past six years at the helm of his eponymous law firm, where he primarily focuses on complex arbitration and mediation cases. Mr. Latham is trusted to provide clients with legal services and consultations in all areas of alternative dispute resolution. He has dedicated his practice exclusively to alternative dispute resolution since 2009, when he left the law firm of Latham & Burwell. He has successfully completed more than 1,500 mediations since 2003, and has become renowned for his work as a neutral mediator in complex civil disputes.

In 1965, Mr. Latham earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Mississippi. He then spent two years as an accountant for the International Paper and the Mississippi Public Service Commission. At that point, he realized that he wanted a more challenging career, so he attained a JD from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1969.

Mr. Latham fully utilized his experience and business acumen of being an accountant to create an easy transition into the law field. He was recently inducted into Worldwide Registry and also maintains affiliation with The National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals and the Mississippi Bar Association. He is a fellow of the Mississippi Bar Foundation and a member or the Lamar Order of the University of Mississippi School of Law. Furthermore, Mr. Latham is a past president and past treasurer of the Mississippi Trial Lawyer's Association.
