NORTHBROOK, IL, January 26, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- This February, Community Financial Service Centers (CFSC) will celebrate American Heart Month with a special campaign benefitting heart health and the American Heart Association. For the heart-happy initiative, CFSC encourages customers to donate a dollar and write their name on a heart-shaped sign to be displayed in the store.
"At CFSC, we care about the health of our community and our society," said CFSC Owner Richard Barr. "Heart disease is a major issue, and we've been eager to hop on board to promote heart health for February."
CFSC will donate all contributions to the American Heart Association's GoRedForWomen.org. The American Heart Association is the nation's largest nonprofit organization for heart health, facilitating research, support, and education against heart disease. The Go Red For Women movement advocates for more research and swifter action for heart health in women.
"Many people don't realize that heart disease is the number one killer of women," explained Barr. "That's why the Go Red For Women campaign is so important. Spreading awareness and understanding the warning signs of heart disease, particularly in women, is vital."
