Solange Rossi Recognized by Worldwide Branding for Excellence in Government Administration

Skilled in economic and social government policy development, multinational environmental sustainability and industrial projects, Ms. Rossi has been working in government administration for more than 30 years. As general administrative manager of Rossi Enterprise Solutions Pty Ltd for three years, she manages the company's affairs, including preparing legal documentation and contracts, managing finances, recruiting software engineering companies and marketing new products.

Acting on her love of economics and international policy, Ms. Rossi started her career in government after attending University in Canada where she obtained a higher degree in Economics, allowing her to work as an academic in economics and with a multinational steel production company in Brazil. In the mid-1980s, she moved to Australia to work for the government, occupying various executive roles developing government policy and assisting in many new government initiatives. Over the course of her governmental career, Ms. Rossi authored several technical reports on the housing industry, infrastructure financing, alternative sources of energy as transport fuel, the economic impact of reducing green gas emissions, papers for international forums on health workforce issues and international education. While still occasionally providing short-term contract services to government departments in economic and social policy areas, she recently became involved in Rossi Enterprise Solutions Pty Ltd as the financial and administrative manager. A family business, Rossi Enterprise Solutions Pty Ltd is an architecture and design software integration business that provides complex solutions in systems integration to major banks, governments and industry in general.

Ms. Rossi's success comes from wanting to contribute to society and make a difference. She enjoys being a role model to young females and her own children. Having obtained her master's degree in a foreign country at a time where it seemed impossible for women to do such a thing, she managed to rise above and complete her degree in a foreign language with only the limited resources that were available to her.

It is because of her education that she has been able to take pride in the work she developed for the Australian government. Over the next few years, Ms Rossi would like to see the applications Rossi Enterprise Solutions Pty Ltd is developing take off, which she hopes will make a big impact in the market and in people's lives.

Ms. Rossi earned a master's degree in economics and industrial development from Dalhousie University, Canada in 1978. She is a member of The Economist Society and the Grattan Institute.
