Patricia Ann Martin has been Named a Professional of the Year in Food & Beverage Service Management

    ROLLA, BC, January 13, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Patricia Ann Martin, Owner and Operator of Rolla Pub, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in food and beverage service management. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only small selections of members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Continuing a family legacy, Ms. Martin, or "Patti" as she's affectionately referred to by customers, took ownership of the Rolla Pub in 1985. Since then, she has led its evolution as a fixture of the community, infusing the aura with local color and a bit of her own personal style. The establishment, which occupies a 90-year-old building, features newspaper clippings, photographs and artifacts from the area as homage to its rich history. For her part, Ms. Martin focuses heavily on customer service, attending to the familiar needs of regular patrons and making visitors feel right at home. In addition to running the business and handling finances, she ensures the facility is in prime condition each day and does marketing via social media.

Besides a full selection of premium beer and alcohol, the pub offers a warm atmosphere where strangers become friends and good times are had by all. Live entertainment is featured every week, as well as an open mic each Thursday night and a range of other events throughout the year. In 2014, the building in which the Rolla Pub is located was awarded second place in the Northern BC Architectural Building Contest.

Ms. Martin has received several accolades herself, including distinction as a VIP member, Top Female Executive and featured member in the Worldwide Branding Calendar Series. She is proud to represent her area and its history while making a living and strengthening communal bonds.
