A Processor of the Year finalist is a testimony to a continuously developing workforce, dedicated leadership, and continuous improvement mindset in execution across every department
ELLINGTON, CT, January 16, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Dymotek, a custom plastic injection molder headquartered in Ellington, CT, announced this week that it has been nominated as one of Plastics News Processor of the Year finalists. Plastics News has selected four finalists across the United States, including two companies located in New England.
Being nominated as a Processor of the Year comes at an exciting time for the manufacturer, a company that has seen incredible growth over the past few years-despite the current economic climate in Connecticut. In 2015, Dymotek was recognized by the Hartford Courant as a Best Place to Work and by INC magazine as one of the 5000 fastest growing company- one of very few CT manufacturers to make the list.
Normand Forest, Dymotek CEO, is thrilled about the recent successes and being chosen as a finalist. He stated, "It is a great honor to be nominated as a finalist for Processor of the Year. For many years, I have toured and read the articles published on some of the previous winners of this award and I am humbled to be named in such an esteemed group of companies. To actually be a finalist in the award's 20th year is exciting. Over the past 18 years, I have seen Dymotek grow from 2 machines in a small facility to 25 machines spread across two facilities. Now, a Processor of the Year finalist is a testimony to a continuously developing workforce, dedicated leadership, and continuous improvement mindset in execution across every department."
According to Plastics News, candidates are evaluated on seven different criteria: financial performance, quality, customer relations, employee relations, environmental performance, industry/public service and technological innovation. 2015 marks the 20th anniversary of the Processor of the Year award. The winner will be announced Feb. 16 at the Plastics News Executive Forum in Naples, Fla., and will be profiled in the February 22 issue of Plastics News.
