LOS ANGELES, CA, January 21, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- R&B songstress and lyricist Nubia Emmon is more than just a harmonious voice with an exceptional vocal range. A multi-talented artist who writes her own material, choreographs her performances and has appeared in the independent film "The Holy Spoof," Nubia Emmon's music career has continued to soar. Her upcoming EP, "Nubia Emmon 93" is slated to debut on Tuesday, April 12th on iTunes.
Featuring 5-tracks, "Nubia Emmon 93" is an experience of nostalgic R&B/Hip hop sound from the southern beauty who strives to create a "happy medium between artistic expression and image." Written by Nubia, the EP boasts of music production from several notable producers including the multi-platinum producer Salih Williams, Shonn "Moox" Bonnett, James Worthy, Tim Curry, and Scotty P.
Inspired by the 90s urban music era, the Austin-native has worked hard to cultivate a musical style that captures the essence of old school R&B and Hip Hop but injects much of her own sound. In the EP, Nubia Emmon continues to shine a light on her passion for crafting great songs, and more importantly, creating music in which others can relate to.
"Although I was just born in the 90s, I love the music of that era when R&B was dating Hip Hop," she laughingly says. Now it seems like that style of R&B is losing its identity while a lot of the rap music is all hard-core. I want to show that you can have good ol fashion R&B and that Rap music doesn't have to be all hardcore and that you can merge the two."
