Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Lorena Rosa, COPA, as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    INDEPENDENCE, OH, January 23, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Lorena Rosa, COPA, Certified Paraoptometric Assistant/Office Manager at Lifetime Eye Care, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Lorena Rosa will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Majoring in child psychology in 1989, Lorena Rosa, COPA, ended up taking a course in optometry and fell in love with it. Soon after, she accepted her first position in the field as a stock room attendant. All these years later, she is a Certified Paraoptometric Assistant/Office Manager at Lifetime Eye Care, managing the company's budget, inventory, sales, and hiring. She also works with various other aspects of the organization, including staff, products, and marketing, to make sure they are all working together harmoniously to accomplish their goals. For the past 20 years, Ms. Rosa has also served as a Clinical Investigation Coordinator, doing clinical research for a number of companies when they are looking to investigate new products or reach new audiences. This position has enabled her to stay abreast of the industry's technology.

"There is so much to learn in this field. The technology is growing by leaps and bounds and I love being able to impact someone's life with it," Ms. Rosa said. "Helping a child see clearly for the first time or making a woman feel attractive in her glasses, these are more examples of what makes my job so enjoyable."

Ms. Rosa holds an Associate's from Cuyahoga Community College with a CPOA certification. In addition, she is current working with Hospice of the Western Reserve as a Certified Volunteer. There, she works in the Navigation program assisting patients as they transition into full-time care.
