Dr. Chung, who earned his medical degree from Tufts University in Boston after graduating from Yale University with a chemistry degree, says his office decor is inspired by the La Jolla shores.

"We completely overhauled the 1,100-square-foot space," he says. "Our flooring resembles the weathered boardwalk, and the counters have a Carrara marble finish. The accents of glass and steel add a subtle, modern component to the soothing environment."

Dr. Chung says it is a virtually paperless practice, using cutting-edge, secure technology. There are 2 comfortable exam rooms where he performs minor outpatient procedures and a dedicated photo studio, where high-resolution and 3-D pictures are taken to help patients track their progress. The surgeon has privileges at Scripps Memorial Hospital, where he performs surgical procedures.
