WINNIPEG, MB, January 31, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) has been active in Winnipeg and area since early 2015. They have recently expanded their community cleanup services to include this region. Community Associations hosting annual cleanups can book ERA to attend their cleanups and collect residents' e-waste for secure and environmentally responsible processing. Unwanted items such as phones, laptops, computers, printers, tablets, mp3 players, gaming devices and computer parts are all accepted by ERA.
"We are excited to offer Winnipeg groups access to our cleanup assistance services," says Bojan Paduh, founder and president of the ERA. "We offer staffing, collection bins, assistance with the cleanup and prompt removal of collected equipment, all free of charge. E-waste removal is a great addition to any community cleanup, an added benefit to residents who likely have unwanted electronics in their homes but aren't sure what to do with them."
ERA specializes in managing retiring corporate IT assets as well as the unwanted computer equipment of individual families. They collect the equipment through pickup services and drop-off depots, test equipment for relevance and then refurbish equipment as necessary. Much of what ERA is able to recover is then donated to Canadian charities and causes.
Community associations interested in booking ERA for their cleanup are asked to contact ERA as soon as they know the dates of their cleanup. Bookings can be made by calling 1.877.9EWASTE (1.877.939.2783) or by emailing [email protected].
About the Electronic Recycling Association
Established in 2004, ERA is a non-profit organization committed to reducing the environmental impact of improperly discarded toxic electronic waste by offering accessible services to help corporations and individuals manage their retiring IT assets. ERA offers industry leading data erasure services, prompt and professional corporate pickup services and detailed reporting. With reuse being ERA's top priority, every item that is received is examined for any remaining productive life and, if possible, refurbished for reuse. True end of life items are transferred to accredited recyclers where a nil landfill contribution can be assured. ERA is committed to supporting local charities and individuals in need through their comprehensive, Canada-wide technology donation program.
