TROY, NY, February 02, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Singer-songwriter Larry Quinn has released his new single, I'M LOOKIN' FOR A GIRL WITH NO TATTOOS. Recording was done in Nashville at his son's studio. Quinn's son Alexander plays all of the guitars on the song and co-produces with his father. The single was released on Third Son Records, Quinn's label.
"I'M LOOKIN' FOR A GIRL WITH NO TATTOOS is a humorous song that I think people will enjoy. It is inspired by the preponderance of women with tattoos and the aversion to body ink of many people, usually older folks like me," said Quinn, 63.
"How many fathers can make records with their sons? I write and sing the songs and Alex does the guitar work and engineers the recording. He's a great guitar player and a skillful technician " Quinn said.
This is Quinn's third collaboration with his son. The pair recorded a cd in 2011, Larry Quinn, and a cd titled Mr. Quinn in 2013. Larry Quinn was the lead singer and songwriter for Tree Fox, an Albany, N.Y. area rock band in the 1970's. Tree Fox released an album Rough Road in 1979 on Fraternity Records. Quinn's current recordings are on his own label, Third Son Records.
I'M LOOKIN' FOR A GIRL WITH NO TATTOOS can be found on most Internet music sites including, iTunes, Rippletunes, Spotify, Rhapsody, Amazon, and CDBABY.COM.
Larry Quinn has been in and out of the music business since 1964. He played in bands during grade school and high school. Quinn has been writing songs since 1966. He recorded his first record in 1976 in Louisville, KY on AMG Records with his band Tree Fox. The band released an album in 1979 recorded in Cincinnati for Fraternity Records. Quinn has released 2 CDs of his songs over the last five years on his own label Third Son Records.
"How cool is it that a 63 year old musician can write a song, get together with his son and create a great-sounding recording that people will really enjoy? It's very cool," said Quinn.
