KENNEWICK, WA, February 03, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Ingrid Ilona Hendrickson, RN, Pediatric Registered Nurse for Total Care, Inc., has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field with an Excellence Award through Women of Distinction Magazine. Ingrid Hendrickson, RN, will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.
At the age of 17, after graduating from high school, Ingrid Hendrickson began working as a Nurse Assistant, caring for the elderly. Twelve years later, Ms. Hendrickson is a Pediatric Registered Nurse working for Total Care, Inc., caring for patients with genetic and congenital disabilities who are tracheostomy and ventilator dependent, as well as serving as a support system for their families.
"I truly love to care for people, and it's my sense of compassion that keeps me coming back to work every day," Ms. Hendrickson said. "If you have a passion for the field in which you work, you will be successful."
Ms. Hendrickson worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for 11 years in nursing homes, skilled care facilities, and in in-home care. After relocating to Washington state, she won a CNA of the Year award while working at Life Care Center in Kennewick. She earned her Associate's Degree in Nursing from Walla Walla Community College and is currently pursuing her Master's Degree in Nursing from Washington Governor's University. She also plans to soon form an advocacy center for teens who have survived traumatic life experiences.
