Angie M. Larson Celebrates her Success as a Business Owner

Ms. Larson has 12 years of experience as the owner of Larson Drapery & Blinds LLC. Through her work, she has set herself apart as an expert in custom window treatments of all kinds for home or office and custom embellished drapery. On a daily basis, she is responsible for consulting with clients on their custom window treatment needs and desires, as well as sewing draperies, working for designers in wholesale and overseeing all operations of her business. Larson Drapery & Blinds LLC provides custom drapery and window covering services for residential and commercial clients such as hotels, nursing homes, hospitals, offices, government buildings, etc.

Ms. Larson has designed and installed window treatments in upscale homes for the past 20 years. She is a showcase Hunter Douglas Dealer, and she has past experience as a master furrier for a prestigious retail company. Ms. Larson recently got into upholstery, having spent 10 years as a teacher and substitute teacher while raising her family.

Looking back, Ms. Larson attributes her success to her willingness to learn, as she is an educator at heart and likes to read. She became involved in her profession because when she was working at Ethan Allen, her boss wanted to put in a workroom. She was the drapery consultant and ordered what they needed for hardware and yardage. She started sewing in the workroom, and her husband suggested she establish her own shop.

Ms. Larson received an associate degree in elementary education from Northern State University in 1960. She is a member of the Philanthropic Education Organization, Questers and Rotary International. In years to come, Ms. Larson plans to continue with what she is currently doing; she wants to work. She loves her home and husband, and loves to interact with others.
