Turley Law Firm Founder Windle Turley Receives Distinguished Alumni Award for Private Practice from Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University

    DALLAS, TX, February 08, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- The Turley Law Firm announced Thursday that founding attorney Windle Turley was named the recipient of the 2016 Distinguished Alumni Award for Private Practice by the Southern Methodist University (SMU) Dedman School of Law. Winners were honored at a special dinner and awards ceremony at the Belo Mansion & Pavilion on Thursday, Feb. 4.

"I have been practicing law for over 50 years, and I still draw upon the formative lessons I learned during law school at SMU," Turley said. "It is an honor to be recognized by the institution that prepared me for my career."

This year was the 29th Distinguished Alumni Awards ceremony. The event honoring the recipients was hosted by the SMU Dedman School of Law. The awards recognize one alumnus each year for distinguished service in private practice.

Turley said that he is proud to have served so many clients in private practice as a plaintiff's personal injury attorney, and to have been a part of helping to call attention to negligent conduct and product defects that injure and kill.

"I founded the Turley Law Firm on the virtues of integrity, experience and compassion," he said. "These are our guiding principles, and I'm proud to say that they have made it possible for not just me but our firm as a whole to distinguish ourselves in the Texas and national legal communities."
