Women of Distinction Magazine Selects KC Fox as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    DALLAS, TX, February 13, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- KC Fox, Director of Technology and On-Air Operations at Tribune Media-The CW Affiliate, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. KC Fox will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2015/2016.

In 1996, KC Fox landed her first position in the media/broadcasting working for an NBC affiliate in Shreveport, Louisiana. Fast forward to present day, she is still working in the field and couldn't imagine doing anything else. Her love and passion for the craft has kept her yearning for more and she has had the wonderful opportunity of learning many different facets of the business.

Now serving as the Director of Technology and On-Air Operations, which includes three live news shows, one of which is syndicated in seven markets and multiple television stations, Ms. Fox manages all logistics and on-air operations for the Dallas stations, as well as serving as the keeper of multiple million dollar budgets, both operational and capital. She directly manages staff with an array of special skills including IT and engineering. KC is referred to as "The Fixer, The go-to person" for all things considered critical. She is responsible for governing FCC regulations as it relates to broadcast television, as well as safety and compliance regulations.

In addition to NBC, Ms. Fox previously worked for FOX, CBS, UPN, ABC, and the CW. She has spent time as a media trainer to professional NBA athletes, as a public speaker for many profit and non-for-profit organizations, and has assisted in numerous PR and strategic branding projects for business and individuals. She also served in the US Air Force, achieving some of the highest honors during her time deployed to Iraq.

Currently, Ms. Fox sits on the board of Achieve PR, the Golden Circle, NABJ, and several other organizations, all of which support the world of media and journalism. Recently, she was named one of Dallas' Most Influential Women by Rolling Out Magazine and the Steed Society, as well as several other awards and accolades over the course of her career. Notably, she is the first and only female within her company to be named Director of Technology and On-Air Operations.
