Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Jennifer Robitaille as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    OTTAWA, ON, February 20, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Jennifer Robitaille, President of DOCK24, Inc., has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Jennifer Robitaille will be featured in the upcoming edition of the Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Providing expertise in the area of public procurement to three levels of government (federal, provincial, and municipal), Jennifer Robitaille serves as the President of DOCK24, Inc. Working in the field since 1992, she has a great passion for what she does.

"I have little to no tolerance for waste in government spending that is related to government pricing from suppliers and corruption within the process related to both the government and the marketplace," Robitaille said. "It is my hope to somehow influence the public procurement process so that these wastes and biases would be reduced and eventually eliminated."

Most recently, Robitaille was involved in the creation of a Purchasing Cooperative so that municipalities in Eastern Ontario could leverage their purchasing power to achieve greater cost savings on common goods and services, such as road salt and fuel. She also enjoys every opportunity to mentor in the areas of supply chain management, with a focus on procurement,

Robitaille spent time in the military where she was named Most Improved Corporal in her regiment in the 1980's and finished first in senior leadership training while enrolled in the Cdn Armed Forces Communication Reserves in the 1990's. She was profiled 'Life' magazine in 2010 while running for City of Ottawa Councilor in the 2010 municipal elections and was the recipient of two awards (Canadian and Global) for Innovation and Technology through the International Association of Emergency Management in 2013.
