Celebrities Come Out To Support Stephen Bishop's Celebrity Golf Invitational Tournament As He Supports The RAKE Foundation on February 15, 2016

    CALABASAS, CA, February 23, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Before some folks went to the Grammy's there was some great celebrities finding a good place to donate their time while raising money for charity. This was the actor Stephen Bishop's Inaugural Celebrity Golf Tournament and he teamed with some great folks like The Will and Jada Smith Family Foundation, Adidas Golf, Taylormade, Mercedes of Calabasas and Club Glove to name a few. Yesterday at the Calabasas Country Club there was plenty of fun and sun for all that came to make their presence felt by R.A.K.E. (Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere).

The Inaugural Stephen Bishop Celebrity Golf Invitational benefiting R.A.K.E. (Random Acts of Kindness Everywhere) Non-Profit (www.rakenow.org) had a simple goal in mind, to raise dollars to help spokesperson and founder Ricky Smith and his team to continue travel the world and perform random acts of kindness. You could tell by the smiles on the red carpet that those in attendance were here to help make a difference. The celebrity golfers included: Alex Thomas, Alison Lee, Cedric the Entertainer, Chris Spencer, Craig T. Nelson, David Justice, Dennis Haysbert, DL Hughley, Flex Alexander, Gary Hudson, Jason Seymour, Jim Brown, Joe Torry, Kathleen Bradley-Redd, Paula Trickey, Reggie Smith, Ron Pearlman, Royce Clayton and Stan Verrett.

Host Stephen Bishop was all over the country club at the crack of dawn ensuring that everything was in place and top notch. When the golfers arrived they checked in and received a #RAKE Swag Bag including items like TaylorMade Golf Balls, Adidas golf shirt, Alpha Cigars, Stance Socks, 2 Degrees Bars, Janay's Herbal All Natural Beauty Line, Anheuser Busch Chalice, Bed Time Bliss Sleep Mask, a Club Glove Gift Certificate and a few other awesome items. A Club Glove golf towel embroidered with the tourney logo was placed in each golf cart and a Calabasas Country Club towel embroidered with each guests name awaited players at registration. A nice touch to have that first #RAKE place. Who doesn't like to see their name in lights? Another #RAKE that took place for the guests was customized hand stamped jewelry by Vintage Stamp Jewels. Guests enjoyed sipping on specialty drinks from Jack Daniels, Korbel Champagne, Dama Tequila, Devotion Vodka, Stella Artois and Sonoma-Cutrer Wine as well as water provided by VOSS Water and energy drinks provided by Red Bull. Lunch was sponsored by BET and was provided by Evergood Fine Foods and Big C's BBQ. The day ended with the Awards Ceremony Dinner where guests were able to bid on amazing items like a trip for two to The Black Jaguar-White Tiger Foundation to play with lions, tigers and jaguars a round of golf with football legend Jim Brown, a signed jersey and batting practice merry and grey from Boston Red Sox superstar David Ortiz and a signed helmet from reigning Superbowl champion Peyton Manning . The winners of the tournament won Clubs from Taylormade, apparel from Adidas and amazing gift baskets from Mel and Rose as well as custom tailored championship jackets made by Woody Wilson Bespoke of Beverly Hills. The day was lovely and guests left with smiles on their faces.

Actor, Stephen Bishop, stars as David Paulk on BET Network's hit original series "Being Mary Jane," opposite Gabrielle Union as her long time on and off again boyfriend.
