Women of Distinction Magazine Selects Roza Ferdowsmakan as a Distinguished Professional in Her Field

    PHOENIX, AZ, February 25, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Roza Ferdowsmakan, Assistant City Attorney, Office of City Attorney, City of Phoenix, Arizona, has been recognized as a Distinguished Professional in her field through Women of Distinction Magazine. Roza Ferdowsmakan was recently featured in Women of Distinction Magazine in 2016.

Upon the completion of her law degree at Villanova University's School of Law in Pennsylvania, Roza Ferdowsmakan moved back home to Scottsdale, Arizona. Planning to take some time off before moving to the east coast to pursue international law and international business transactions, she wound up interviewing for a local, in-house counsel position with Archon, Inc. to gain interviewing skills. Offered the position, she, instead, decided to accept the position. Sitting for the Arizona state bar exam, she soon began practicing construction law for the firm. She remained in position for five years.

Ferdowsmakan moved into another role with PatchLink Corporation, a tech start-up business. There, she spent three-and-a-half-years helping grow the software company internationally. Moving on, she accepted an opportunity to work in the public sector, landing position with the Office of City Attorney for the City of Phoenix, where she now serves as a senior level Assistant City Attorney for the City of Phoenix, negotiating, drafting, and advising on all of the City's technology initiatives and agreements. She's been with the city for nine years now.

"I advise on transactional commercial matters, as well as all legal aspects of the City's technology initiatives, software agreements, and professional technology engagements, among other tasks," Ferdowsmakan explained.

Ferdowsmakan is a published poet who has been featured in 'Arizona Attorney Magazine' four times over the past eight years, three of those times in their creative arts competition for attorneys. Additionally, she volunteers as an advisory panelist to technology startups through the Arizona Commerce Authority's Venture-Ready Mentoring Program, and sits on the Arizona Technology Council's Startup and Entrepreneurship Committee, as well as their Women in the Workforce Committee.
