The Caribbean Women's Society (CWS) is hosting a first­-of-its--kind, unity-building initiative to foster their Vision of "a thriving Caribbean Community in Canada."

SCARBOROUGH, ON, February 25, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- On February 28 from 1pm­ to 4pm, the general public is invited to the CWS Caribbean Culture and Contributions Showcase; themed "We are Here, Accomplished and United". This fundraising event will ELEVATE, CELEBRATE and EDUCATE on distinct island culture and its contributions to Canada, affirm the Caribbean identity and reinforce unity. This event will be held at the Centennial Recreation Centre 1967 Ellesmere Ave, Scarborough. Tickets are $5, free admission for kids under age 3.

Camille Kerr is the founder of Caribbean Women's Society; an incorporated, grassroots, not-for-profit organization whose mission is "to connect and empower Caribbean women".

CWS unites, connects, empowers, and invests in ALL Caribbean women so they can achieve an improved quality of life; on the condition that they, in turn, will teach, motivate and enable their families, friends and their community to do the same.
