Mobility Tax Firm Introduces New Director in Southern California

    LOS ANGELES, CA, February 25, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Julie has joined GTN as Director for the Pacific region in Southern California and will be responsible for overseeing client relationships as well as global mobility tax consulting for programs headquartered in the Southern California region of the United States.

Julie has over 15 years experience providing expatriate tax advice to organizations of various sizes as they move employees around the world. She has extensive proficiency in advising on matters such as home and host country tax filing requirements, permanent establishment risks, and global compensation reporting. She also has a deep knowledge of cross border tax compliance and consulting, international payroll, shadow payroll, and social security. Julie has proven experience related to compensation, stock-based incentive plans, and policy development and design.

Prior to joining GTN, Julie worked in International Assignment Services with PwC and Deloitte. She also spent a year as the expat program administrator for SOLCORP (wholly owned subsidiary of EDS) overseeing the expat program with more than 150 assignees in over 10 locations.

"As an expat's child, I grew up in the mobility world. I knew this was my calling early in my career. I love that there's always something new each day and that not one day is ever the same," noted Julie. "I am very excited to start a new chapter of my career with GTN."

Julie earned her Masters of Accounting from University of Waterloo in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. She also has a Bachelor of Business Administration, Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University. She is a California CPA.
