Bodega Hosts Three-Year Anniversary Celebration

    ST. PETERSBURG, FL, February 28, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Bodega, a modern eatery specializing in flavors inspired by the islands of Latin America, is excited to celebrate its third year in business. The family-owned operation is led by Chef George Sayegh and his wife, Debbie Sayegh, and driven by the fundamental goal of sharing the flavors of Latin America with the St. Petersburg community. The restaurant, established in March 2013, is a popular local hangout, boasting fresh, made-to-order food, local beers on tap, and a juice bar.

Since its inception three years ago, Bodega has become a staple to St. Petersburg's Edge District. With an exterior similar to that of a shack, Bodega takes pride in its fast-casual dining experience, with a chalkboard menu and paper dinner boxes to complement the casual atmosphere. Using only fresh ingredients, the menu takes the average Cuban sandwich and burger to the next level. Along with its remarkable cuisine, Bodega also features a juice bar, Bodega Juice, which specializes in both fresh-squeezed juices and smoothies in a variety of exotic and seasonal fruits and vegetables. The weekend anniversary celebration will kick-off on Saturday, March 5th from 6p-11p at 1120 Central Ave., in downtown St. Petersburg. Guests will be treated to a display of 10 vintage Volkswagen show buses, along with live entertainment from Cuban band 'Freddy Montes y su Son', and 'Dead Dove - A Rock Comic Book.' In addition to Bodega's regular menu, the celebration will include roasted pig in cajas chinas, a $3 Chelada bar and coffee by Made Coffee Company. Brews from 3 Daughters Brewing and Avid Brew are among the beer selection, along with $3 Modelo Especial and Negra beer specials.

With three successful and prosperous years behind them, Chef George and Debbie are extremely grateful with how St. Petersburg's Edge District has welcomed Bodega.
