James Michael Giordano Honored for Excellence in Early Childhood Education

    WASHINGTON, DC, March 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- James Michael Giordano, Third Grade Teacher of the District of Columbia Public Schools of Lasalle - Backus Education Campus has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in early childhood education.

Mr. Giordano has 40 years of professional experience, with 27 years as a third grade teacher of District of Columbia Public Schools. Throughout his career, he has set himself apart as an expert in teacher education. On a daily basis, he is responsible for teaching kindergarten through eighth-grade students in all subjects, including mathematics, science and social studies. He also teaches other educators, helping them to achieve the highest possible levels of success. He attributes his success to his hard work, motivation and love for education. He became involved in his profession because he always wanted to work in education in the classroom.

Mr. Giordano received a bachelor's degree in elementary education from Monmouth University in 1974. He maintains affiliation with SEPA, IRA, the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics, NSTA, the National Council for Teacher Education and the Association of Presidential Awardees in Science Teaching. In 1998, he received a presidential award for excellence in mathematics and science teaching from Elementary Science. In years to come, Mr. Giordano hopes to continue to enhance his skills as an educator and help his students achieve their fullest potential.
