Kathleen J. Coffey, P.Eng., PMP, Named Professional of the Year in Engineering

    CALGARY, AB, March 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Kathleen J. Coffey, Managing Director of Sentio Engineering, has been named a Worldwide Branding Professional of the Year in engineering. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.

Ms. Coffey has 27 years of professional experience, with three years as a managing director of Sentio Engineering. On a daily basis, she is responsible for overseeing all operations of the business, including marketing and process design, providing on-time and on-budget project management. She also manages effective client interaction and develops effective solutions to difficult problems using an innovative approach.

Looking back, Ms. Coffey attributes her success to having effective mentors and having been fortunate to have received a good education. She credits having the opportunity and confidence to take on challenges while working hard to achieve her goals. Ms. Coffey is well known for her ability to fast-track and crash projects when deadlines are the primary constraint. Additionally, she has the ability to de-bottleneck and troubleshoot existing facilities, as well as design and apply unique solutions to existing problems. She is able to offer this unique combination skill set that minimizes client expense and improves the on-stream date of a facility. She became involved in her profession because from a very early age, Ms. Coffey was interested in how things worked and was encouraged to explore her interests through the engineering field. Working with two very high performance teams has been the highlight of her career.

Ms. Coffey received a Bachelor of Science in engineering, with a focus in chemical engineering, from the University of Calgary in 1987. In addition to her degree, she is a Project Management Professional through the Project Management Institute. She is a member of APEGBC, PEGS and APEGA. In years to come, Ms. Coffey aims to create a safe environment in which to work, while providing excellent service to her clients. She also plans to simultaneously enjoy mutually beneficial relationships with her clients. Her clients will benefit from her services as she continues to enhance her skill set.
