Monique S. Sidaross Honored for Excellence in Civil and Structural Engineering

    ROSEMEAD, CA, March 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Eng. Monique S. Sidaross, MSCE, Director, General Educator and Engineer of Moni Sid & Associates has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in civil & structural engineering.

Ms. Sidaross has 33 years of professional experience, with 23 years as a director, general educator and engineer of Moni Sid & Associates. Throughout her career, she has set herself apart as an expert in structural engineering and education. Each day, she collaborates with government companies and teaches algebra, trigonometry, calculus, English, French and Arabic translation in business and at a community college. Ms. Sidaross has done public speaking for Ph.D. graduate students.

Looking back, Ms. Sidaross attributes her success to her determination, goal-oriented nature, self-motivation and to the support she receives from her family and God's help. She became involved in her profession because of her family background and her interest in the construction field. She always wanted to build something that lasts forever, and she did. In addition, having excelled in mathematics and calculus helped her to succeed in the engineering field. The highlights of her career are numerous, but if she had to choose one, it would be managing construction sites of hospitals and other major university buildings as a licensed female civil engineer.

Ms. Sidaross received is pursuing a Ph.D. in engineering management from Walden University, having earned a master's degree in civil and structural engineering from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering frin Alexandria University. She is a Bridge Design Academy Graduate, and she maintains affiliation with the American Society of Civil Engineer, ABI, IBC and UCC. In years to come, Ms. Sidaross hopes to earn a doctorate, develop her business, teach at the university level and become a consultant.
