Brian J. Dodds Honored for Excellence in Social Work

    MOUNT NASURA, AUSTRALIA, March 04, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Brian J. Dodds, Assistant District Director of Department for Child Protection and Family Support has been recognized for showing dedication, leadership and excellence in professional development.

Mr. Dodds has 41 years of professional experience, with six years as an assistant district director of the Department for Child Protection and Family Support. Throughout his career, he has set himself apart as an expert in professional development, quality assurance, supervision, leadership, strategic planning and management counseling. Each day, he is responsible for holding inter-agency meetings, managing policy development, leading and supporting team members, handling the operational plans of the district, and following up on complaints.

Looking back, Mr. Dodds attributes his success to his goals and the ability to work towards them. He became involved in his profession after starting his career with the Department of Residential Care. During this time, he did volunteer work and participated in activities with youth. He then went back to school to pursue a bachelor's degree in social work.

Mr. Dodds received an MBA in public administration from Belford University in 2007, as well as a Bachelor of Science in social work from Curtin University, which he received in 1985. He maintains affiliation with CPSC, SPFS, the Society of Professional Social Workers, the Royal Association of Justices of Western Australia Inc. and the Institute of Public Administration Australia. In years to come, Mr. Dodds hopes to become a director with the Department for Child Protection and Family Support in Australia.
