The highlight of his career was receiving the HENAAC Santiago Rodriguez Diversity Award
HOLIDAY ISLAND, AR, March 07, 2016 /24-7PressRelease/ -- Greg Moore, Immediate Past President of the Greater Dallas Advisory Board for the Texas Diversity Council, has been named a Worldwide Branding Executive of the Year in Nonprofit Management. While inclusion in Worldwide Branding is an honor, only a few members in each discipline are chosen for this distinction. These special honorees are distinguished based on their professional accomplishments, academic achievements, leadership abilities, years of service, and the credentials they have provided in association with their Worldwide Branding membership.
Mr. Moore has 20 years of professional nonprofit experience, and he served for six years as the president of the Greater Dallas Advisory Board, Texas Diversity Council, prior to his retirement. Each month, he was responsible for coordinating and executing meetings and events, while also handling member development and increasing the organization's engagement with the community. Furthermore, he was responsible for liaising with the board Executive Team and state staff plus managing member communications. Texas Diversity Council is a nonprofit organization that provides a learning environment and events for organizations to grow their knowledge of diversity and inclusion. The organization also provides networking opportunities with other diversity and inclusion professionals, plus a venue for frank and open discussions.
Looking back, Mr. Moore attributes his success to his positive attitude, sense of humor, organizational skills, big-picture perspective, ability to build long lasting professional relationships and can-do approach. He became involved in his profession because of his prior experiences working as a member of the regional diversity council for Texas Instruments Inc. and his personal experiences managing a microwave module production factory. The highlight of his career was receiving the HENAAC Santiago Rodriguez Diversity Award in 2008, because it honored his body of work and the results of partnering with many others to improve diversity and inclusion at Raytheon. He received the award, but it would not have been possible without so many others who worked with him for many years.
Mr. Moore studied for an MBA at Southern Methodist University and The University of Texas at Dallas, and he has earned a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from the University of Oklahoma. In addition to his educational credentials, he was certified as a Six Sigma lead expert for a Raytheon Product Line in 2001, and he also holds a training certification in accelerating change management and a training certification in team-based organizations.
He is a member of the Greater Dallas Advisory Board as Past President and a former member of the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Dallas Convention and Visitors Bureau. He previously worked with the North TX Crohn's & Colitis Foundation of America Leadership Council during his time in Texas and he is now with the Crohn's organization in Arkansas to establish a Northwest region council.
In years to come, Mr. Moore intends to move into consulting and expand his diversity and inclusion work within the Northwest Arkansas communities.
